They do this to Falun Gong because Falun Gong are the only serious threat the ruling party has faced since 1989. The Nationalists had the Communists cornered in Harbin at one point (1947,I think) and could have finished them off in three weeks. But in a moment of unforgivable stupidity, the US told the Nationalists to wait. Mao’s army regained their strength and took the whole country the next year. Madness.
