This gallery allows you to browse all of the images posted on The Nonist over the years. This includes both original images created specifically for the site as well as images featured in posts but created by others. The images are categorized as such.
• Originals: These are images created by Jaime Morrison as illustrations for posts or for special projects hosted here, including photographs and original artworks. Some are adaptations of materials relevant to posts, for example photomontages, amalgams of or riffs on other artworks, and designs incorporating outside imagery. These are included in this category only in the broadest sense of "original" because they have been changed substantially from source materials and can not be properly credited to anyone else. Other images in this category are more explicitly original works with no precursor. Every effort is made to clarify this distinction within the descriptions.
• Featured: These are images featured in posts here at The Nonist but created by others. Their copyrights remain with their creators or publishers or original copyright holders. Credit is given to sources and creators whenever possible with further context available by viewing the posts in which they were featured.
The gallery can be viewed categorically by clicking on the links at the top of the page. Alternately images can be viewed randomly. By default the main page presents images from both categories in descending order from which they've been posted, newest first. Clicking on thumbnails will bring up a new window with a larger version of the image and a description. The gallery can be browsed linearly from within this window and comments can be made on individual images (note: comments are not as of yet turned "on" but will be so shortly). Clicking on an image's title will redirect to the post from which that image originated. Note that full-size versions of images are only viewable in original posts.
To begin with the gallery is being populated incrementally beginning with older images and images from the special projects pages. Once its contents are fully current it will be updated as new posts are published on The Nonist.
