if it works, very groovalicious. why do quantum theorists doubt it? because under quantum theory, no lower electron level is possible. the orbits, see, are based on the wavelike quality of an electron, in whole units. it’s as if the nucleus were a golf ball, say, and you had a bunch of one-foot lengths of chain (no fair pushing it together, it has to be fully extended). so you can have a loop around the golf ball of one foot, or two, or three; but nut 2 1/2 feet, and not half a foot either. this scheme implies that you can somehow have half a foot. either quantum theory has a really, really basic flaw, or this gizmo don’t work.
