I read about this a year or two ago. Also called ‘glassy’ or noncrystalline metal, i think. uses different size atoms, like this:
imagine you have a bin full of basketballs, there are a lot of empty spaces.
now mix in a bunch of marbles. that fills a lot of the space. mix in ball bearings to fill the space between the marbles. that’s sorta how the molecular structure of liquid metals is, and it’s supposed to be really hard and corrosion resistant. naturally, the first place you see this metal used is in golf clubs.
