being the “priest” at your wedding gave me little useful experience except how to pace back and forth in a hotel parking lot while feeling nauseous or possibly the value of knocking back multiple shots of whiskey before approaching the ‘pulpit.’ my delivery of this poem is aping (almost exactly) bukowski’s own delivery as read in the collection run with the hunted.
