the hyperreality of time: past, present, future and science fiction.

Insofar as the dangers of imposing harmful/misleading hyperrealities on the public, I can’t help but imagine that media advertising is often far worse than any form of Science Fiction.  I find it hard to beleive that SF is ever written with nefarious intent (reguardless of its impact) but advertising, which usually has little to no intent at all - aside from selling a product, tends to fill our heads with all sorts of nonsense.
