well, as frank tipler pointed out, cosmology engulfs theology over time. it’s odd to be alive in a time when questions deemed unanswerable when i was small are answered on a weekly basis, so much so that it often feels as though we are witnessing a catastrophic crumbling of illusions that have been with us since time immemorial, so that we might live to see a day when all mysteries are trivialized either by sinking into mundane fact or floating off into who-knows-who-cares-land.
