The State of the Union is ... misled
“When the president told the American people he had a plan to “replace more than 75 percent of our oil imports from the Middle East by 2025,” he didn’t mean that literally. His specific promise to accomplish specific reductions in oil imports from a specific region by a specific date was “purely an example.” He said it not because it was true, but because viewers could “understand” it.”
