known cyber-world-wide as the largest virtual skyscraper yet constructed, mr wong’s soup’partment will dazzle and amaze you. were it miraculously to find itself in meat space, it would stand 3 times higher than the worlds tallest building. unfortunately construction is finished, so no apartment for you! so take a nice scenic drive instead why don’t you?
well, the folks over at scaled composites have set a launch date, june 21st. a successful launch for spaceshipone may not only bring them that much closer to winning the x-prize but may also signal a beginning for honest to goodness commercial space flight, red tape aside. guess i better start training. anyhow best of luck to them.
tired of working your meaningless desk job? enjoy traveling? like wine? well hell, sounds to me like you might enjoy being a hobo!
why? because it’s lazy, that’s why. electronic music is so full of micro-genres that i understand the temptation to just throw them all in the pot, apply an empty monicker, and call it done. but “electronica” just sounds so… music that dare not speak it’s name. as such, check out this highly biased guide to electronic music. it’s uses are many. help you to successfully identify such important categories as neuro-funk, nu-electro, gloomcore, ghetto-tech, jtek, and vgm. allow you to revisit genres you have forgotten, outgrown, or which simply no longer exist, like acid house (nasa, your charms were many), tribal house, hip-house (girl i’ll house you… say what?), trip hop, and acid jazz (oh one armed trumpeter from giant step, where for art thou?). and perhaps most importantly help you to avoid at all costs such blights on eardrums everywhere as nu-italo, eurobeat, jpop, ibizia, and nu-nrg. lot’s of tracks to listen to and helpful genealogical maps abound. to continue your adventure into the world of electronic music, or to just laugh knowingly at those young doofusus who rushed into the vacuum us older, “cooler” (hahaha) folks left behind, check out their dancers & drugees, and captions sections.
