Used to be piles of mags like that around my house 40-odd years ago. Every issue, it seemed, had something powered by the ubiquitous air-cooled Volkswagen engine (these motors lent themselves to light planes, boats, hoverwhatzits, and jizzamagoobers, because being air-cooled they were very, very simple and light compared to the water-cooled engines in most cars).
